Free Gallagher Bluedorn Block Party series returns summer 2026
Summer is back—and so is the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center Block Party series!
What began as a creative way to offer free entertainment to the Cedar Valley has grown into a beloved summer tradition—bringing neighbors together to celebrate community, connection, and live music in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
“There’s something really special about seeing people come together and enjoy live music right in their own neighborhood,” said Kelli McCarthy, Director of Community Outreach at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. “We’re proud to partner with neighborhoods across the Cedar Valley to bring live music directly to them and celebrate the unique spirit of each community.”
This summer’s series will once again feature a lineup of talented local musicians performing on the Gallagher Bluedorn’s portable stage, traveling to neighborhoods across the Cedar Valley from June through September. Each event delivers a high-quality concert experience, complete with professional sound and lighting typically found inside the venue.
The 2026 Block Party lineup includes:
- Friday, June 5, 7–9 p.m. — Cedar Terrace Park, Waterloo (Ft. The Snozzberries)
- Friday, June 19 — Sullivan Park, Waterloo (Juneteenth Celebration)
- Friday, June 26, 6–8 p.m. — Dike City Park, Dike (Ft. Milk and Honey)

All Block Party events are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music, food, and neighborhood-led activities. Each stop offers its own unique experience, shaped by the local neighborhood hosting the event.
Whether you attend one event or the full series, the Block Parties offer a fun, family-friendly way to experience live arts all summer long.
The Gallagher Bluedorn Block Party Series is made possible through the generous support of:
