Auditions Announced for The Nutcracker

Youth ages 8–18 are invited to audition to perform in the holiday classic, The Nutcracker! Be a part of this magical story, reimagined into an exciting modern-day performance.

Auditions will be held at the at the National Dance Academy on 411 Viking Road, Suite C, Cedar Falls on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19. Sessions will be split by age group as noted in the schedule below.

Ages 8, 9, 10:
Friday, September 18
5:30-6:30 p.m.

Ages 11, 12, 13:
Friday, September 18
6:45-7:45 p.m.

Ages 14+
Saturday, September 19
10-11 a.m.

Youth Ages 8-18 are welcome to audition!

AUDITION ATTIRE
For girls: Black Leo, pink or flesh tone tights, hair anchored back in a bun
For boys: Black pants/shorts, white shirt, ballet or jazz shoes.
Ages 14+ with 2+ years of instruction in pointe should bring their pointe shoes. 

Apparel for auditions can be purchased locally at National Dance Academy or any store that sells dance attire.

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will begin on Saturday, September 19th from 12:00PM to 5:00PM and Sunday, September 20th from 11:30AM to 3:00PM.
Regular rehearsals will be held every Sunday until the week of the performance. Tech week will require additional time commitments.
