Les Arts Florissants

Vivaldi's Four Seasons at 300. Perhaps the most popular piece of classical music ever written, the Four Seasons did not come from nowhere. This brilliant concert celebrates this remarkable work by playing it in its entirety and als performing the music that inspired Vivaldi to compose it and the music of composers who were in turn inspired by Vivaldi. Les Arts Florissants is a full chameber orchestra - 30+ musicians that come together to play this very special genre of music. Think of a full orchestra minus brass and pecussion and you will get a sense of the strength of the power of the strings and the woodwinds at the orchestra's core. A big, little symphony celebrating a masterwork.
